HI THERE, welcome to my blog site

This is my writing , blog portion of my site! Here you can read my observations of that which I photograph. I like my photography to tell a story on their own, with some words thrown in.

Spending time with that which I photograph I like to be as accurate as I can with the information within my writing. I have been writing these since 2010 along with my photography so I do have quite a collection of different articles.

Couple Of My Posts

Cultus Lake Oregon

One thing to be sure of here in Oregon is? We do have magnificent views! We like going to such places as Cultus Lake on the off seasons when tourists are not here. With tourism at a all time high here in our part of Oregon I like to show you when the area was not so developed for the visitors. These images have been tucked away in my archive , just waiting for me to breath life back into them!

The Tiny World Of The Hoverfly Insect

The Hoverfly some may know it as the Flower Fly or the Syrphid Fly. No matter what you know this flies name as, it is a unique species.of the insect kingdom! Resembling the bee species only help this fly in my opinion. The Hoverfly is harmless and no doubt a benefit to our gardens!!

Skipper Butterfly on The Zinnia Flower

Meet a Skipper Butterfly that visits our garden every year. Skipper Butterflies are called this for they flutter, or skip from place to place. Not always flowers but to feed the flowers are the place to find them!

Scrub Jay Playing With Food

Meet the Scrub Jay that this article will be featuring! I ran across these images as I was in my archive on another project, however going through the series I just had to laugh and it might bring a smile your face as well?

Painted Lady Butterfly Laying Eggs

This is the Painted Lady Butterfly. Several species of this butterfly, this is the species we have here at home. As you can see the Hollyhock is budding out and will flower later on in the season.

lake billy chinook 001

This is Lake Billy Chinook. This is one of the many physical photographs I have at my physical photography site that is now available for purchase.

Lake Billy Chinook is found in the town of Culver Oregon which is the next town south of us. One of my favorite canyons to go to . You can see where Culver is on the map below.
